Introduction: My first blog post

I live in Dallas, Texas with the future aim of returning to my home state of Mississippi (I miss those magnolia trees.) I have a calico cat that stares at me all day, and a few nieces and nephews. I decided to follow the path of instructional design when I was preparing for an interview to work at a school as a first-time teacher. I quickly realized what I wanted to do was design content and not teach. I also realized that I wanted to work with adults and not children around the same time. It was an exciting feeling to finally realize where I belong, and I am so happy to be working towards my dream. This blog is a digital portfolio so you all can get to know me and my work.
